The Peoples of America Foundation (FUPA) was created on the initiative of Enrique Aguilar Montalvo, who has had a long career in cultural activity through photography, documentary film, anthropology and the study of cultural astronomy in the pre-Hispanic peoples of America.
Thanks to the acquisition of the house, today the headquarters of the foundation, located in the heart of the traditional Mariscal Sucre neighborhood (La Mariscal), the idea of creating a space to house the different cultural activities was generated; For this reason, the restoration of this house built in 1932, which belonged to the Aguilar Montalvo family, and which today offers us its spaces for social recreation, began.
Thus, the Fundación Pueblos de América FUPA was born and consolidated from a purely cultural conception, because we firmly believe in the practical and philosophical value that culture represents within society
